UXSS 2021 - June 14-18 2021
The Ultrafast X-Ray Summer School (UXSS) is an annual school on X-ray science aimed at PhD students and postdocs. The program of the school consists of nine lectures given by distinguished scientists in the field, a virtual tour of the European XFEL with instrument presentations, and guided hands-on project work in which the participants work out a mock proposal for beamtime at European XFEL. Due to COVID-19 and associated travel restrictions, the school will be held virtually.
The lectures cover the following topics in ultrafast X-ray science:
- introduction to X-ray sources
- theory of X-ray matter interaction
- atomic and molecular physics
- correlated electron materials
- structural biology
- matter in extreme conditions
- chemical dynamics
- coherent diffractive imaging
- soft condensed matter physics
We hope you will join us for a productive and instructive event in June.
